You can’t just entirely write off Iggy falling to pieces in Quebec with that little nugget of information out there. His problems in La Belle Province go deeper than a disgruntled Quebec Lieutenant, it appears Quebeckers have taken a measure of the man and found him entirely wanting.

The missteps are starting to add up. Idle threats, summer retreat, and now this pathetic power struggle in Quebec between downtown Toronto and Montreal. I am still gobsmacked that this has become the mortal wound exposing Ignatieff’s shortcomings. To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson (1850), “Every hero becomes a bore at last.” Cheers.
I guess Emerson must have heard of Harper. Harper lives in about the same time as Emerson did mentally.
